Upgrading Wordpress

Ok so this will prob won’t be a surprise to many, but I always like to shoot some info out there so others can benefit.

So I was looking over some of my websites and noticed one was running worpdress version 2.1 whoa! Bad! So I decided I would upgrade from 2.3 then to 2.5 since I’m still not sure about 2.6.

So I transfer the files and nothing. Blank screen. I copy back the old 2.1 files and the site is up again. I decided I need to go to 2.2 since 2.1 is pretty old. So bamm we get to 2.2 fine the I go for the old 2.3 and same blank screen. Ok I won’t bore you with the process that follows, but after having a cup of coffee I’m saying to myself duh….. it’s prob an old plugin. I disable all the plugins transfer over the 2.5 files and bam, I’m running 2.5. Jeesh how stupid of me.

Thank God for coffee.
