I saw the infomercial on late night TV for this and then found it at Walgreens. My husband thought it was silly but for $20 it seemed worth a try since the cats had scratched up 2 leather loveseats. I could have filmed a commercial for Emery Cat. One of the cats jumped on it immediately and played with the toy for a solid 15 minutes. A month later, they have tired of the toy but both of them still love the board. They haven't clawed any furniture since I got it. Just keep reapplying the cat nip on it. Most of it falls through the back so you can lift the scratch board out and reclaim the cat nip that has fallen through. Totally worth the money!!!

I too ordered the bogo free offer and my two Emery Cat Scratchers came on Saturday. I was very excited and curious to see what the Emery part was. It's a spray coating on a cardboard scratcher. I place it on the floor next to my 8 cats favorite cardboard scratcher the Turbo Scratcher. They sniffed a bit and one cat got on board, but no one did any scratching! The next day, I moved it to another location, replacing their other favorite, the Cosmic Alpine Scratcher. Still, not one claw has been groomed on this new device. 8 cats say "no!" you can't fool us and trim our nails the easy way! I'm dissappointed.

Hello Cat Lovers,

Regarding the question of emery cat, I have purchased one myself and of course the sharp claws will get dulled when my cat scratches onto the pad. Because the surface is abrasive and treated with catnip, the cat will dulls its' own claws no question ask. I love the product because my cat loves it so that is what I am looking for verses before I had to hold my cat and clip their nails which is not a very pleasant experience.

Thanks Emery Cat for this great product. I hope your company can come up with some other products soon for my cat.
