Emery Cat Review
January 5th, 2010OK so if you have read my blog before then you will know I have 2 cats and a dog! I love them to death, but it is hard to keep a house clean with this many animals. I do my best. My cats are just about 6 years old and I feel that they are too old to have them de-clawed!
They have always been pretty good with clawing stuff in the house. We had a really old couch that was a hand me down, so I never cared about it too much. The cats had their way with it, and pretty much tore it up. We needed to start looking for a new couch and since we have a micro fiber lazy boy upstairs that the cats never try to claw we figured the new couch would have to be micro fiber as well.
As I was doing my research I was also looking up info about cutting the cats claws or how too keep the nails clipped.
I found nail caps they seemed rediculous. lol seriously who would bother going through all that trouble to put those on your cat.
I also found the PediPaws. This thing is pretty cool, but I figured if I was going to seat through running this thing on them I might as well just clip themy myself.
I wanted a solution that did not involve me!
That is when I found the Emery Cat

This is not a cure all. I will tell you what this thing does. You know those death needles cats claws turn into when you don’t cut them? You know the ones that dig into when your kitty jumps up on you?
Well I have to say that the Emery cat totally gets rid of that. It’s pretty awesome and I am so glad that we got one… Well 2 they have a buy one get one free deal.
Cutting my cats claws was never a scheduled thing. It was pretty much ow!! Jeesh the cats need their claws clipped again lol. With the emery cat I haven’t even bothered with cutting them. The cats like it too. I had to physically put them on it and stick their claws into it, but they love it now. You can also throw some cat nip on there as well and they will get them digging away. It is a simple and effective way to keep your cats claws from turning into death needles.
I hope this Emery Cat Review helps you decide if it is right for your cats.

Hello Cat Lovers,
Regarding the question of emery cat, I have purchased one myself and of course the sharp claws will get dulled when my cat scratches onto the pad. Because the surface is abrasive and treated with catnip, the cat will dulls its’ own claws no question ask. I love the product because my cat loves it so that is what I am looking for verses before I had to hold my cat and clip their nails which is not a very pleasant experience.
Thanks Emery Cat for this great product. I hope your company can come up with some other products soon for my cat.

I too ordered the bogo free offer and my two Emery Cat Scratchers came on Saturday. I was very excited and curious to see what the Emery part was. It’s a spray coating on a cardboard scratcher. I place it on the floor next to my 8 cats favorite cardboard scratcher the Turbo Scratcher. They sniffed a bit and one cat got on board, but no one did any scratching! The next day, I moved it to another location, replacing their other favorite, the Cosmic Alpine Scratcher. Still, not one claw has been groomed on this new device. 8 cats say “no!” you can’t fool us and trim our nails the easy way! I’m dissappointed.
