ughhh. Anyone else have this? Annoying yellow triangle with and exclamation point in your task bar popping up at you telling you that you have spyware.cyberlog-x followed by annoying internet pop ups? Well I did and I tried everything to get rid of it.
ARgh…. I used spybot, adaware, hijackthis, avg antispyware, i even bought webroot!!! Also used the smitfraud tool as well.
Nothing. That little annoyance kept popping right back. Well I have good news!! Nah I didn’t switch to geiko.
I found a solution.

I used Trojan Remover 6.6.4 and guess what it was free and it actually worked. It didn’t ask me to register or buy the product to remove what it found. So far so good. No more pop ups.
Install it and get all the updates. Then start in safe mode “Press F8 while the computer reboots” Run the program, whatever it finds tell it to kill it or rename it if it can. It will probably tell you that it needs to restart to kill the rest of the junk. Restart and wait for it to start again after you login. You will get some pop ups. I went straight to the registry and deleted what it showed me just to be sure. If you want to edit the registry go to Start> Run and type regedit. Just be careful in there.
After it removes everything I would use a program to clean up crap files on your computer. There is a good program called
Crap Cleaner or CCleaner.Run that to clean up loose files.

Well so far so good. If it comes back I’ll update with the next attack!!

Good luck. If you need some help just hit up the contact form!
