Unlocked iPhone 4S already launched?

It is something which is too good to be true. Apple is selling unlock iPhone ‘s in selected stores across America. The creator of ‘Siri’ Steven Troughton-Smith has reported that Apple has already started selling unlocked iPhone’s across USA. This seems very weird since the website of Apple is still reporting that it will be selling SIM free iPhone’s from November.
However these are only rumors and no one has till now confirmed that the news which is emanating from the USA is true or credible enough. So your question how to unlock iPhone 4s is still unanswered we guess. However the creator of iOS has posted a screen shot that he has been successful to run the T-mobile carrier on his iPhone 4S. Since there is no unlocking hardware/software in existence, which has provoked people to think that this is not a prank and it is true.
9to5Mac has also followed suit and has posted screen shots of the iTunes where the user has been informed that the iPhone has been unlocked and is now compatible to be used with any carrier. It will be interesting to know if iPhone has shipped unlocked iPhone 4S to a few distinguished customers. Well the device comes with a price tag of $649, $749 and $849 for the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB respectively and is GSM only. The unlocked iPhone 4S reportedly comes with AT&T SIM. However if you push in a T Mobile SIM you will be able to get a message ‘Congratulations, your iPhone has been unlocked’. It is great news and there is also a tinge of bad news, band compatibility forces it to work with Tmo’s EDGE network, and not 3G.It makes me wonder if there is some secret password or riddle solving to get the unlocked iPhone’s! The plot is getting thicker and thicker and the whole story is just waiting to be opened in a few hours.

My App Builder Review

Well if you have read my blog before then you will know that I have an Iphone and that I love it!
I am currently running 3g, but got a chance to play with my uncles 3GS this weekend and I was pretty stoked about it! I really want the video feature bad! So cool! Anyway… Onto what this post is supposed to be about.

So typically when people get together and start messing with their iphones and showing their apps the same conversation comes up. All about the iphone apps. Man I should have though of that!! Wow I had that idea!! Dude that guy made that app and made $100,000 in a day! Insane!! So of course we started thinking of different app ideas and seeing if they were taken and of course many of them were, but… we eventually came up with something kinda cool. “I can’t mention it just yet, hehe”

Ok so we got the idea, but up comes the next hurdle. Who the heck knows how to build one of these?
Not me, nor anyone else I know. So now its like do you hire someone? Will they steal the idea? Who knows. This lead me to search for some software that can help build an iphone app.

Low and behold I find MY APP BUILDER First thing I see is that they want $29 a month for the service, but hey I mean if you have to hire someone it will be hundreds and you have the chance to make a mint if your app is hot! The cool thing is that they will let you create as many apps as you want for the $29 a month, but I suggest focusing on that first one!!

Ok so you can take ebooks, audio, and video and turn them into an app which is right up our alley cause this is sort of the thing we wanted to do with our app.

Is there a learning curve? Yes, but if you have an iphone then you can do this!!

All I can say is give it a shot.

Iphone 3.0 Update – Errors? Awesomeness? Bit of Both?

OK so the new update came out and we are finally going to be able to cut and paste lol. Woo hoo!

OK so here goes it. I hooked up my iphone and started downloading the 3.0 update. It started to install, then went to restart. I heard 2 beeps then looked at the iphone and it told me to connect to itunes.

I believe this is for the activation. Anyways while hooked up to Itunes I keep getting this error
“We Could Not Complete Your iTunes Store Request”

Arghh I just want to cut and paste and use the new keyboard! ha!

So after doing this numerous times and getting the same error, I decided to just click on Itunes Store and see if it would connect that way. Bamm it connected and instantly said Iphone Activated on the phone itself. So I dunno, very strange, but it works.

I’ve been on it about 5 minutes and the copy and paste feature def rocks!! Wide keyboard is also very sweet! Ugh as I type this!! Why are all my contacts gone!! lol Oh boy.

I see the voice memo button and the search. Preaty neat! Ah my contacts are back woo hoo lol.

Well I will mess around more and see what else I can break. Will keep you posted. If you have any issues or figure anything out please leave a comment below.

Iphone or Ipod Invalid Response Error

So I was excited today to download a new audio book and get it onto my iphone. I bought the audio book then went to get it all synced up and bamm I’m hit with an error in ITUNES that says invalid response. So I start messing around and doing some searches and found the answer! I have 64 bit vista, but it seems this also happens on xp as well.
I need to delete the Lockdown folder.
You can find it here on xp C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\Apple Computer\Lockdown
and here on vista C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local Look around it might be in one of the other folders there as well.

I did this then restarted for good measuer and Voila my iphone was syncing with Itunes again!

Top 10 Iphone Wishes

OK so i have had my iphone for about 4 months now and I love it! LOVE IT!!!
I have had many different phones, pdas, etc… I’ve used blackberry’s, tmobile mda, verizon samsung i760, running different versions of windows mobile. I do a lot of IT work so I get to play with other peoples pda’s as well and I have to say that nothing comes close to the iphone. It just works and works well. It has its occasional hiccups, but rarely ever hangs or crashes or has windows mobile memory issues. It’s so simple to use! I just set up a few blackberry storms and I have to say buuu!! lol. Don’t get me wrong the storm is pretty cool, but is in no way an iphone. There are just way to many options on the blackberry storm that makes it confusing for some.

Still haven’t tried an android phone yet, but from what I can see its still playing catch up to the iphone.

Anyways with all my love for the iphone there are a few things I wish it had. Some of these features I can’t understand why it doesn’t have them to begin with.

In no particular orders here is my Top 10 Wish List for the Iphone. There may be apps for some of these, but whey do I need an app for it to work?

1. Cut and Paste Function “What gives!!”
2. Keyboard to expand sideways when typing an email!
3. Open zip files!!!
4. Turn by Turn navigation that speaks to you
5. Play wmv files
6. Record Video “Also more mega pixel. Storm is 3mp – Maybe next version”
7. Support For Flash! “Agh cmon now”
8. Send Pics via MMS
9. Different Carrier “I’ve used them all and att is fine, but its nice to have a choice”
10. Removable Batter “Gotta say the battery is great, I can get a whole day, but i need something for the 10 spot hehe”

There you have it. Im sure there are some solutions for this out there already so if you know of any then let me know.

Exchange set up with Iphone 3g

Setting up Iphone 3g on exchange server.

Wow so I finally got an iphone! They are so nice. I went ahead and purchased the 16gb one because thats all they had available at the apple store. So I spent about 3 minutes trying to set this thing up on my exchange server. I had all the correct info in, but I still get getting exchange account validation failed! What gives. I have used other phones to connect via active sync. We use OWA “outlook web access” and that works fine. All the correct ports are open on our server. Well here’s what it was. I kept getting to the point where it said exchange account validation failed, and then I would start over. Duh!! What I needed to do was hit next and save the new account. I then needed to go into setttings then mail settings and go into the account I just set up. The problem was the SSL. We don’t have SSL so the iphone kept looking for that and thats why it failed. As soon as I turned the ssl option off, bamm I got my email. I’m still messing around with this thing, and hope to update this with any more little tricks.
